Annalise McKewen is an Australian soprano regarded for her expressive storytelling and lyricism. Now at the completion of her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Dr Simon Lobelson, Annalise has performed leading roles across opera and music theatre, including Belle in Beauty and the Beast and the title role in the Sydney premiere of Parrwang Lifts the Sky, presented in collaboration with Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO, Short Black Opera, and Victorian Opera.

She has appeared in concert singing the role of Eve with the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra in Haydn’s The Creation and has performed at the Sydney Festival of Art Song, as well as in numerous Conservatorium recitals. Annalise has also premiered new chamber and vocal works in collaboration with Trackdown Studios and the Sydney Conservatorium’s composition department and has performed in masterclass with Professor Michael Halliwell. In 2024, she was named a finalist in the Demant Dreikurs Song Scholarship Competition.

During her final year of schooling, Annalise was nominated for Encore and OnStage for her distinguished achievements in Music and Drama and received the A.J. Elliot Prize for Esteemed Musical and Cultural Achievement.

In addition to her operatic and concert work, Annalise performs regularly as a soprano soloist for a range of distinguished corporate and cultural events, including engagements for the United Nations, the Branch of the Order of Australia, the NSW Government, and the Woollahra Gallery, among others. Recognised for her luminous tone and emotional depth, she brings an elegant balance of vocal precision and dramatic instinct to every performance.
